THE ORIGINAL HAUNTED CAPE MAY TOUR...ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!

You can go out and ask 10 different                Parapsychologists to define their field of study, and probably get 10           different aswers.  Not because the field is undefinable, but because     today, Parapsychology encompasses so much territory.  The study of haunting and   poltergeist phenomena is just a small part of the entire field.  One can visit a Parapsychology Lab and see testing and experimentation being done on subjects claiming to have psychic abilities.  Tests to    document out of body experiences, mental telepathy, remote viewing, and simple ESP testing can be       witnessed.  Experiments to induce altered states of consciousness or  telekinetic powers might be observed.
Al Rauber discussed the topic.  "For me, Parapsychology is the study of scientific anomalies and behavior that does not seem to be governed by the natural laws as we know and          understand them today.  This is, of course, a ridiculous concept as  all paranormal phenomena is quite  natural.  The important part of that state

ment is as we know them today.  All of the phenomena studied is very natural.  In fact, it is a part of what we are as human beings.  We just need to learn more about the natural laws that govern this phenomena."
Rauber believes that at the same time, the studied phenomena is not
supernatural.  "If it was, we would not be able to perceive it with our limited physical senses."
Rauber continued "It is sometimes easier to say what Parapsychology is not.  Parapsychology is not witchcraft or occultism.  It is not new age studies or metaphysics.  It is not UFOlogy or bigfoot.  Parapsychology is not        demonology or related in   anyway to religious beliefs.  It is not astrology, palmism, vampires and werewolves,  or Hollywood hype."
"Parapsychology literally means
along side of Psychology.  You cannot study the field of Parapsychology and not know basic Psychology or at least have an open mind as to the          Psychological connections to the field
